Dr. Steve Morlidge
Steve is an accountant by background and has 25 years of practical experience in senior operational roles in Unilever, designing, and running performance management systems. He also spent 3 years leading a global change project in Unilever. He is a former Chairman of the European Beyond Budgeting Round Table and now works as an independent consultant for a range of major companies, specializing in helping companies break out of traditional, top down ‘command and control’ management practice. Steve is a Visiting Fellow with the Centre for Business Performance at Cranfield School of Management .
Steve is the co-author of‘Future Ready: How to Master Business Forecasting (John Wiley, 2010), and has a PhD in Organisational Cybernetics at Hull Business School. He is also a co-founder of CatchBull, a supplier of forecasting performance management software.
Steve recently published The Little Book of Beyond Budgeting. A New Operating System for Organisations: What it is and Why it Works (Troubador, 2017).
He is regularly engaged as a public speaker, drawing on his years of experience at the leading edge of performance management thought and practice.
Jerry has held the CFO & VP of Operations positions at a number of companies. He led Lean transformations achieving dramatic improvements in inventory turns, lead-times, customer service, income and cash flow.
He has authored 3 Lean books, two of which won the prestigious Shingo Award: Who’s Counting? and Accounting for World Class Operations as well as Leading Lean.
He was the Maryland Lean Leader of the Year in 2013. He is a founding thought leader in Lean Accounting and has been teaching and practicing Lean Accounting for three decades. Jerry was a long time board member of the Maryland World Class Consortia, is an AME Examiner, a Shingo Prize Research Examiner and a frequent speaker at conferences.
Mike works with companies to improve their financial management processes and develop the teams that support them. He applies Lean and Beyond Budgeting principles to evolve the budget into a more valuable and efficient tool, make better use of the latent talent in finance teams, and help analytical and office functions focus more effectively on work that makes a difference.
He is an experienced finance executive with a passion for bringing people and financial data together to improve organizational results. He´s the numbers guy that gets excited about translating complex financial analyses to leaders so they can make better business decisions. For over 15 years he has used data and analysis to tell the story to executives, allowing them to achieve better results.
Mike was one of the lead implementers of Beyond Budgeting at Group Health Cooperative, a nonprofit health care system that coordinates care and coverage in Seattle, Washington.
Mike is the Principal owner of Torre Consulting and a Principal Member of the Athena Group. He is also serving as BBRT North America´s Healtcare director and holds a MS in Finance from Seattle University.
